We all want to plan the ultimate vacation - climbing to the Peruvian village in Machu Picchu, breathing in the fresh air in the Swiss Alps, taking a selfie holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Yes a girl can dream. But sometimes the ultimate vacation just isn't in the works and if you still need some down time, staying local and exploring your own backyard has its rewards.
I am blessed to live in a prime travel destination beautiful Southern California. Initially I was planning a Northern California road trip but had to rethink this as my co-pilot wasn't up for the journey. So instead I have decided to visit some of the reasons why I live here and take time to reconnect, recharge my creativity, and embrace the local treasures.
Over the next several days I will capture via video and pictures treasures in my backyard.
